The New York Giants will get rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart back in Week 13 against the New England Patriots after he cleared concussion protocol earlier in the week.
Dart has led the Giants to a 2-5 record this season, and they are 0-5 when he doesn’t start, including 0-2 the last two weeks with Jameis Winston under center. So, it’s not a surprise that the Giants are major underdogs on the road against the 10-2 Patriots on Monday night.
Drake Maye is second in the odds to win MVP this season, and the Pats are looking to lock up the No. 1 seed in the AFC this season.
Both of these teams will be on the bye next week, so they’d love to go into the off week with a win. However, the Giants have not won a road game this season and have blown five double-digit leads in 2025.Â
Can they turn that around in this matchup?

Earlier this week, SI’s NFL betting insider Iain MacMillan shared his favorite bet for this matchup in his Road to 272 column, and he’s betting the OVER in this matchup:Â
The New York Giants might be an OVER machine with Jameis Winston at quarterback. He threw deep early and often against the Lions, leading to a high-scoring affair. The Giants’ offense now ranks 12th in EPA per play, just below the Patriots, who come in at seventh in that metric. Winston could have another strong game when he takes on a Patriots’ defense that ranks 21st in opponent dropback success rate, despite having by far the easiest schedule in the NFL.
New England should be able to torch a Giants’ defense that has been one of the worst in the league, especially when it comes to stopping the run.
This is a prime-time showdown between two teams whose offenses are far better than their defenses. Bet the OVER.
While Dart is getting the start in this matchup, I do think this could be a high-scoring game, especially since New England has allowed a few suspect teams to hang around (like the Cincinnati Bengals) in recent weeks.
The Giants have yet to win a game on the road this season, but they are 4-3 against the spread. With the Patriots dealing with a ton of injuries on their offensive line, I could see New York keeping this game within a touchdown on Monday.Â
Final Score Prediction: Patriots 27, Giants 23
