The Chicago Bears are sitting at 9-3 after a 24-15 win over the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles in Week 13. Coming off this Black Friday game, there’s still some important football to be played, where Chicago is looking to keep its hold on the NFC North.
There’s plenty to watch over the final five games of the 2025 season, including whether the passing game can get on track, the league’s top rushing attack, Dennis Allen finally having a healthy defense and whether the Bears can continue to win games and actually make the playoffs in Ben Johnson’s first season.
With Chicago coming off their Black Friday win, we’re predicting the Bears’ final five games, which features some tough matchups as Chicago looks to maintain first place in the NFC North.
Week 14: at Green Bay Packers (Dec. 7)
The Bears should’ve swept the Packers last season, and their lone win came at Lambeau Field back in January. Green Bay hasn’t proven to be a juggernaut, but they have plenty of talent that makes them a threat. I have the Bears splitting with the Packers, so it’s all a matter of where that loss happens. Chicago has won nine of their last 10 games, and they have to lose eventually, right? It’ll most likely happen on the road, where the Bears have lost two of their three games this season. Prediction: LOSS
Week 15: vs. Cleveland Browns (Dec. 14)
The Browns might be one of the worst teams in the NFL, but that doesn’t mean the Bears (or any team) should sleep on them. Because while their offense has left a lot to be desired (even with Shedeur Sanders stepping in), that defense remains dominant with Myles Garrett leading the charge. The Browns already bested the Packers this season, and they’ve lost some close games, so Chicago will be lucky to sneak out a narrow victory. Prediction: WIN
Week 16: vs. Green Bay Packers (Dec. 20)
As I said before, I expect the Bears and Packers to split this series. After Chicago drops a close one on the road in Green Bay, they bounce back with a decisive win over the Packers at Soldier Field to jump back into first place in the NFC North. Ben Johnson understands the importance of this rivalry, and after a close loss two weeks prior, he’ll have his team ready to respond. Prediction: WIN
Week 17: at San Francisco 49ers (Dec. 28)
This game could very well have NFC No. 1 seed implications. The Bears were dominated by the 49ers last year in San Francisco. And that shouldn’t be the case this time around, but the 49ers have proven to be among the most consistent NFC teams even amid injuries to key starters. On the prime-time stage and on the road, it’s going to be difficult to best Kyle Shanahan’s squad, but not impossible. Still, it’s hard to pick the Bears losing just one game the rest of this stretch, so the home team edges out the Bears for the win. Prediction: LOSS
The Bears were absolutely humiliated by the Lions in Week 2 to the tune of 52 points, and Dan Campbell’s team kept rubbing salt in the wound until it was clear they were fine without Ben Johnson. Naturally, this presents a great opportunity for Johnson to get redemption and beat his old team. And with the Lions reeling after their impressive start, Chicago has a chance to repay the favor. With playoff seeding on the line, there’s plenty to prove in this game, and I expect Johnson’s team to deliver. Prediction: WIN
Final Record: 12-5
If you would’ve told Bears fans a year ago that Chicago would finish 12-5, they’d be gagging in disbelief and elated at the thought. But with the Bears sitting at 9-3 right now, it’s a very real possibility. Yes, this final five-game slate is the second-most difficult in the league, but Chicago has made its living proving people wrong and winning when no one expects them to. Winning three of their final five games would be quite the feat, especially with three division games on deck. In this scenario, the Bears win the NFC North. But is 12-5 good enough to win the NFC? Probably not. But the only thing that matters is getting into the playoffs, which would be quite the accomplishment in Ben Johnson’s first season as head coach. And with the NFC wide open, anything can happen.
