Entering the season, the Tennessee Titans had questions at inside linebacker and were unsure what they had in Cedric Gray and James Williams next to Cody Barton in their defense. To address that question, the front office moved and added veteran linebacker Kyzir White to the practice squad to add competition and experienced depth to the unit.

At the time, the move made sense. White was coming off a tremendous season with the Arizona Cardinals and had the skill set needed in Dennard Wilson’s defense. Unfortunately, for White, Gray developed into a potential foundational piece for the Titans, and he also suffered an early-season hamstring injury that held him back.

Now, the former fourth-round pick by the Los Angeles Chargers in the 2018 NFL draft and the Titans have mutually agreed to part ways, making the veteran a free agent if he clears waivers.

White would finish his time in Nashville playing in one game and making two tackles. In all, White has six years of experience with the Chargers, Philadelphia Eagles, Cardinals and Titans, and has accumulated 617 total tackles and 7.5 sacks.Â
