Luke Combs brings out Miranda Lambert as guest at Bonnaroo
Luke Combs headline the opening night of the 2025 Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival and he brought out a very special guest, Miranda Lambert.
Grammy-winning country superstar Luke Combs has already conquered some of music’s biggest stages, but there’s still one stage he’s dreaming of. And, he has big hopes for it.
In a recent episode of ESPN’s “MNF ManningCast,” the multi-platinum selling artist, Grand Ole Opry member and 11-time CMA Award-winner answered questions while watching a NFL football game between the Carolina Panthers and the San Francisco 49ers.
During the show, co-hosts Peyton and Eli Manning picked his brain about all things music and sports. At one point, the country star and diehard Panthers fan was asked if he would rather see his favorite team win the Super Bowl or perform during the big game.
“I’d like to perform in the Super Bowl and see the Panthers win the same Super Bowl,” Combs quickly answered. “Why not both?”
What are Luke Combs’ ties to the Carolina Panthers?
Combs is a Huntersville, North Carolina native and a long term Panthers fan. He grew up rooting for and watching the NFL team, saying “I was 6 years old when the Panthers became a team. I was living in Charlotte at the time,” he shared. “So it’s kinda in the blood, I guess, for me.”
The Carolina Panthers joined the NFL in 1995. And while the team has not made it to the Super Bowl since 2016, Combs still has high hopes.
“Obviously, we’ve been down for a decade now. People give me crap, ‘Oh. You talked badly about this. You talked badly about that. What fan hasn’t talked badly about their team? I mean, that’s what fans do, right? I’m no different than anyone else. I’m a die-hard,” he said. “I’m willing to eat crow if we’re winning. Nothing wrong with that. I’m here for it…Listen, I want to see the team win. If that comes at the cost of me looking like a clown, I’m all here for it”
Bad Bunny to perform during 2026 Super Bowl halftime show
While Combs remains hopeful the day might come where he performs the big game and the Panthers play, it won’t be next year. Bad Bunny is set to headline the Super Bowl LX halftime show in 2026.
“What I’m feeling goes beyond myself… This is for my people, my culture, and our history,” the Puerto Rican superstar said in a statement via the NFL. “Ve y dile a tu abuela, que seremos el HALFTIME SHOW DEL SUPER BOWL,” he added in Spanish which translates to, “Go on and tell your grandma that we’ll be at the Super Bowl halftime show.”
When is Super Bowl LX?
The big game is set for Feb. 8, 2026, at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, home of the San Francisco 49ers. It is slated to take place just one day after Bad Bunny concludes a three-night run in Santiago, Chile.
Last year, a record 133.5 million viewers tuned in for rapper Kendrick Lamar’s performance.
