The Seattle Seahawks waived defensive tackle Quinton Bohanna on Thursday, according to the NFL’s transaction wire.

The move opens a second 53-man roster spot for Seattle, which has several players nearing a potential return from injured reserve.

Huard: This is the best defensive front in Seahawks history

A trio of Seahawks players on IR – veteran defensive tackle Jarran Reed, veteran safety Julian Love and wide receiver/kick returner Dareke Young – each returned to practice on Wednesday. Seattle has 21 days to activate those players to its 53-man roster.

Bohanna appeared in five games this season, logging 32 defensive snaps and two special teams snaps. He recorded three tackles.

Bohanna, a fifth-year NFL player, also spent most of the 2024 season on Seattle’s practice squad. He appeared in one game last year, playing seven defensive snaps in a Week 4 loss to the Detroit Lions.

Bohanna was a sixth-round draft pick by the Dallas Cowboys in 2021. He spent two seasons with the Cowboys, totaling 29 tackles in 27 games. Bohanna then split the 2023 season with the Lions and Tennessee Titans, totaling 10 tackles in six games.
