A Bengals fan says he was attacked and seriously hurt after the last home game in November.It happened on Elm Street, not far from Paycor Stadium.John Dittly has watched the Bengals play every Sunday for the last two decades.On Sunday, Nov. 23, the grandfather, father, and husband from College Hill says he could have lost his life. “We’re stuck in traffic. There was some leftover fans walking back,” John recalls, “The light had turned, and we’re just sitting there, and the guy came out.. He had a beer in his hand, and he’s drinking walking across the crosswalk. He got mad, I guess because we were moving and he threw the beer can as hard as he could at my car, basically.”John says his first instinct was to get out of the car and take a look to see if his car was damaged.”When I got out, all I remember was him saying, ‘Do you want some of this?'” John says, “I turned around. He hit me in the back of the head. I got knocked out, knocked unconscious. I fell into my car.”WLWT spoke with a bystander who says he was on his way to work and saw this. He said he began filming.”When the video first started, you hear a loud bang, that was actually the impact of the driver’s face hitting the driver’s door,” the man said.The family filed a police report, and the suspect took off before officers arrived on scene.John is doing better but still recovering. The family says they want this man identified, so they can press charges.
