Arizona Cardinals quarterback Jacoby Brissett is having quite a run when it comes to passing numbers. The career backup has started the last seven games and has been the league’s most prolific passer in that time.
He also has one of the worst records. There has been good and bad from Brissett.

Jacoby Brissett: The good
As shared by Cardinals VP of Media Relations Mark Dalton, Brissett is No. 1 in the NFL since Week 6 in the following categories.
Completions for a first down (106)
He also has 13 touchdown passes in seven games. Only four quarterbacks — Matthew Stafford, Drake Maye. Dak Prescott and Patrick Mahomes — have more than Brissett’s 13 TD passes.
The Cardinals’ passing offense has been great.
Jacoby Brissett: The bad
All those passing numbers have not helped win. The Cardinals are 1-6 in Brissett’s starts. He is now 2-10 in 12 starts over the last two seasons and now 20-40 as a starter in his career.
When he took over, the Cardinals were 2-3 with a +7 point differential. Over the last seven games, they are minus-45.

They have lost by three scores twice. In their other four losses, Brissett has had the ball on offense at the end of the game with the opportunity to lead the Cardinals to a game-winning score. He had an opportunity at the end of regulation against the Jacksonville Jaguars and again in overtime. He has failed to produce a game-winning score in all four games and all five drives.
They are a better passing offense, but they are winning less, they are less efficient as an offense and they are losing by more. So, as we have seen, it is good and bad all at once.
