The Las Vegas Raiders are having a down year with a 2-10 record going into Week 14 against the AFC West-leading Denver Broncos.
Pete Carroll is in his first season as the head coach in Las Vegas and Geno Smith is in his first year as the team’s quarterback after being acquired in the offseason.

Yet, things are not going well. The Raiders defeated the New England Patriots in Week 1 and then the Tennessee Titans in Week 6, but since then, they have lost six in a row.
Offensive coordinator Chip Kelly was recently fired after just 11 games with the team, so it has not been a promising year for the Raiders.

Now, ahead of a showdown with the first-place Broncos, the Raiders could be down their best defensive player in Maxx Crosby.
The Raiders released their updated injury report. In it, both Crosby and Jamal Adams were listed as DNP after practicing wth the team in some capacity on Wednesday.

Adams was a full participant on Wednesday and Crosby was a limited participant, so it’s a surprising change.
The Raiders lost to the Los Angeles Chargers, 31-14, in Week 13.
Crosby had six solo tackles with two sacks and was all over the place. On Wednesday, the limited participation was promising, but his being DNP on Thursday is not the best news.
The Raiders faced the Broncos on November 6, and Crosby had two solo tackles but was not able to record a sack.

In the year, he has 37 solo tackles with eight sacks and an interception, but if he were to miss this game, it would make for an even tougher task against Denver.
The Raiders and Broncos kick off on Sunday at 4:05 pm ET with the game on CBS, and there should be another update on Crosby by then.
