Winning the AFC North might be the only viable path to a playoff bid for both these teams, and they enter Week 14 with identical 6-6 overall records, comparable scoring differentials, and urgency for wins in whatever ways they can get them. The Steelers have lost five of their past seven contests to lose their grip on the North Division and create more questions than answers, in both the short and long term. Veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers came out of a 26-7 loss to the Buffalo Bills last week with frustrations in his group of wideouts, and former quarterback Ben Roethlisberger wondered out loud this week if coach Mike Tomlin might be interested in the open Penn State coaching job instead.

All signs pointed to the Ravens sprinting past the Steelers and into the playoff race, once quarterback Lamar Jackson returned from injury and the team rattled off five straight wins. That momentum slowed on Thanksgiving night, when Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals went into M&T Bank Stadium and blew out the hosts (32-14), in part, by forcing five turnovers. Baltimore will be in rebound mode, again in its home stadium, with an eye toward cleaning up issues on both sides in time for a legitimate playoff run.
