Johnson was named the Big Ten’s running back of the year and All-Big Ten first team by coaches and media after his breakout junior season.
He led the Big Ten with 1,451 rushing yards this season — an average of 120.9 per game — and also had 12 rushing touchdowns.
Johnson posted the first 1,000-yard rushing season by a Husker since 2018 and is the only player in program history to have 100 rushing yards and 100 receiving yards in the same game.
