The Tennessee Titans have had a busy offseason under their new front office led by general manager Mike Borgonzi.

Coming off a dismal 2024 season, change was in the air, and the Titans have completely overhauled significant portions of their roster. Their offensive line, inside linebacker corps, edge rushers, wide receivers, and quarterbacks have all undergone massive changes between free agency and the draft, making this an exciting time for fans.

While they took a strategic and meticulous approach to retooling their roster, their targets did not excite some media outlets, and the grades of their offseason work are all over the board. The latest outlet to come out with an offseason grade is Pro Football Focus (PFF), where Trevor Sikkema graded all 32 NFL teams for their efforts.

TENNESSEE TITANS: C+

The Titans paid big money for Dan Moore Jr. and Cody Barton in free agency. Moore finished 2024 with a 67.2 PFF overall grade in Pittsburgh, while Barton earned a 63.7 mark with the Broncos. They drafted quarterback Cam Ward at No. 1 overall, but that was easy. The rest of Tennessee’s draft felt up and down for value. The team is better by default with Ward, but their offseason was still lacking.

This grade is understandable using the PFF grading model, but does not fully show how the offseason moves benefited the team. Look at Dan Moore as an example. While Moore may not be an elite tackle, his presence will be a significant improvement over Nicholas Petit-Frere, who not only struggled in 2024 but was also waived in April and is no longer on the roster.

One could debate whether the financial value was there, but many factors involved don’t fall into that metric, like the number of players available and the quality of the draft class.

Regardless of the grade, the Titans have improved during the offseason and should be better in 2025. The central question heading into the season will be how well these new additions fit into the system and how much they will help the Titans improve.
