Emily Shares Heartwarming Message for Baker Mayfield
The Buccaneers are leading the NFC South with a 7–5 record and look like a strong contender to reach the playoffs, holding a 66.3% chance according to PFSN’s NFL Playoff Meter. A huge credit goes to the contributions Mayfield has been making this season.
His efforts did not go unnoticed, as the Buccaneers have nominated him for the 2025 Walter Payton Man of the Year award. It’s considered the most prestigious honor in the NFL, given to a player who shows exceptional work in the community, philanthropy, and on-field performance.
Recently, the Buccaneers posted on Instagram, urging fans to vote for Mayfield, writing: “Leading Tampa Bay on & off the field 🫡Vote @bakermayfield for Walter Payton Man of the Year with the link in bio 🗳.”
Whether Mayfield wins the award or not remains to be seen, but even being nominated is a tremendous honor, something his wife Emily is hugely proud of. Reacting to the Buccaneers’ post on her story, she shared a heartwarming five-word message showing her pride for him: “Proud doesn’t explain the feeling. ♥️”
Despite being pregnant and busy with her career, Emily has consistently shown her support for Mayfield. She has even attended many Buccaneers games this season to cheer him on.
The couple married in 2019 and welcomed their first child, a daughter named Kova Jade, in April 2024. They are expecting a baby boy next year. From on the field to off it, this year has been a celebratory one for the Mayfield family.
Buccaneers to Face Saints in Week 14
The Buccaneers earned an impressive 20–17 win over the Arizona Cardinals in Week 13. Now, Mayfield and his team need to shift their focus to the New Orleans Saints, whom they will host at Raymond James Stadium this upcoming Sunday.
The Saints are already out of the playoff race with a 2-10 record, but the matchup remains crucial for the Buccaneers if they want to maintain their No. 1 position in the NFC South. It will be interesting to see whether Tampa Bay can keep its momentum going or if New Orleans will pull off an upset when these two division rivals meet.
