The matchup corresponding to Week 14, featuring the Minnesota Vikings and the Washington Commanders, will take place tomorrow, December 7, 2025, at 1:00 pm ET (7:00 p.m. CET).

Washington have secured just three wins in twelve games, while Minnesota hold one additional victory over the same stretch.

Neither team has lived up to expectations, though the reasons are clear. Injuries have played a significant role for both franchises.

Coaching issues, underperforming players, and a long list of additional setbacks have also contributed to their struggles.

For the Commanders, one of the biggest challenges has been the ongoing injuries to their star quarterback, Jayden Daniels.

Daniels generated tremendous excitement among Washington fans at the start of the season. In his rookie NFL campaign (2024), he was named Offensive Rookie of the Year — an award that underscores his importance to the team.

Early in the 2025 season, the quarterback suffered a sprained left knee that forced him to miss two games. Weeks later, he was sidelined again during a game due to a right hamstring injury.

Upon his return, and while sharing starting duties with Marcus Mariota to avoid overloading him, Daniels was injured yet again — this time during the November 3 game against the Seattle Seahawks, where he dislocated his left elbow, ruling him out until tomorrow’s matchup.

Washington head coach Dan Quinn confirmed on Friday, December 6, that Jayden Daniels will start against the Minnesota Vikings. The news was met with great enthusiasm by fans.

Mariota has performed reasonably well, but the Commanders remain focused on developing their young quarterback as the centerpiece of their offensive project in the coming years.

Although Minnesota enter the game on a four-game losing streak, Washington’s is even worse. The Commanders have dropped seven straight, a skid they aim to end tomorrow.
