NFL Week 14 picks: Why we like Browns, Bengals and Eagles

Lorenzo Reyes is back with his best bets for Week 14 games. He explains why he likes Browns, Bengals and Eagles.

The New York Jets and Miami Dolphins meet for the final time this season with a Week 14 AFC East matchup getting underway this afternoon at MetLife Stadium.

The Jets (3-9) put an end to a two-game losing streak following a 27-24 victory as time expired over the Atlanta Falcons last weekend in East Rutherford.

Despite being sellers at the trade deadline, the Dolphins (5-7) come into this one playing their best football of the season, currently on a three-game winning streak and have won four of their last five games after a 1-6 start.

In the first meeting in late September, the Dolphins defeated the Jets 27-21 back in Week 4 for their first win of the season.

Jets vs. Dolphins predictions, picks, odds

Dolphins 30, Jets 24: The history is notable with Tua Tagovailoa struggles in cold weather games. The Dolphins’ starting QB is 0-8 when the temperature is 45 degrees and below and 0-4 when it’s 40 degrees and colder. I expect that to turn around in Week 14, especially with the weather forecast not expected to be an issue as of now. I anticipate the Dolphins will follow a similar pattern that the Falcons did and lean heavy on their star running back De’Von Achane, one of the best dual threat running backs in the NFL who’s third in the league in rushing yards (1,034) and sixth in scrimmage yards (rushing and receiving) with 1,404 in 12 games. Tyrod Taylor and the Jets offense will be able to put up points against a below average Dolphins’ defense, but Miami’s offense, led by Achane, is too much to overcome in this spot.
