He led the Browns with 101 total tackles in 2023. He also recorded 3.5 sacks, 20 tackles for loss, six passes defensed and picked off two passes in 2023. He was named to his first Pro Bowl and was a key part of the Browns having the top overall defense in the NFL in the 2023 season.
He was on his way to another stellar season in 2024, notching 61 total tackles, 10 tackles for loss and three sacks in eight games. He suffered a neck injury in Week 8 against the Ravens and was placed on injured reserve on Nov. 2, 2024, causing him to miss the remainder of the season. He was then placed on the reserve/physically unable to perform list on May 12, 2025, and ruled out for the 2025 season.
“JOK (Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah) was on his way to an All-Pro season last year,” defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz said on June 4. “His ability to blitz and rush the passer and he made coverage look easy. The game had slowed down for him and all those things together, it’s disappointing to lose a player like that, but we support JOK and everything that he does.”
