The 7-5 Texans are on a four-game win streak and trying to keep the momentum going as they push toward a not-impossible AFC South title. They are one game behind the mutually 8-4 Jacksonville Jaguars and Indianapolis Colts.
The Chiefs, responsible for one of those Colts losses, are falling behind at 6-6 in the AFC West. They fell hard to Dallas in a fourth-quarter loss on Thanksgiving Day, finishing 31-28.
Although the postseason isn’t out of the question, they may need to win out to qualify.
