Is this rock bottom? That’s what many Washington Commanders‘ fans are asking after Sunday’s 31-0 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Both teams entered Sunday’s game on losing streaks. And Washington, coming off a gutsy performance last week where it almost upset the AFC’s top team, the Denver Broncos, had quarterback Jayden Daniels back for Week 14.
The Commanders had an impressive first drive, but were unable to put the ball into the end zone. Minnesota would proceed to drive 98 yards on 19 plays in 12 minutes to take a 14-0 lead. The rest was history. Sadly, when Daniels was intercepted in the third quarter, he attempted to chase down Vikings linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel, but a Minnesota defender knocked him to the ground, reinjuring his left non-throwing elbow. Shortly thereafter, veteran tight end Zach Ertz suffered a gruesome knee injury that head coach Dan Quinn said the team believes is a torn ACL.

It was that type of day for Washington. To the surprise of no one, fans are fed up. Most fans are upset with GM Adam Peters, head coach Dan Quinn, the entire defense and Jayden Daniels. The truth is, there’s enough blame to go around for this debacle.
