BALTIMORE — The Pittsburgh Steelers suffered multiple injuries in their 27-22 win over the Baltimore Ravens. Three different players left the game with concussions.
That included standout tight end Darnell Washington, whose presence was missed after going out in the first half of the game. Fellow tight end Connor Heyward acknowledged play calls changed.
“It was a big hit to the team. Art came in here to make some adjustments. Everyone followed and drew up a couple of plays at halftime in case we had to run them,” Heyward said.
Even without Washington, the Steelers surged ahead offensively. However, they later lost left tackle Andrus Peat to a concussion, too. He was replaced by Dylan Cook, who played his first NFL snaps.
Linebacker Malik Harrison also suffered a concussion. He hit Ravens running back Derrick Harmon on the side of his leg and appeared to go unconscious before walking off under his own power.
Wide receiver Ben Skowronek is battling a finger injury and had to be limited at times throughout the rest of the game. That will be an injury to watch throughout the week leading up to the Dolphins game.
Lastly, standout defensive tackle Keeanu Benton had an ankle injury but was able to return to the game. That should see Benton play next week against the Dolphins.
