Baltimore’s veteran running back, Justice Hill, is named the Ravens’ most underrated player going into 2025

The Ravens were quiet in free agency, but after signing DeAndre Hopkins and retaining Ronnie Stanley, Baltimore’s offense has all the ingredients to make a deep playoff run while maintaining their reputation as the most explosive offense in the NFL.

Everything starts with quarterback Lamar Jackson, and the two-time MVP will again work to get his team deep into the playoffs and, most importantly, to a Super Bowl appearance. Baltimore is loaded at running back after agreeing to a two-year extension with Derrick Henry.

Henry is the star, but Justice Hill could be the most important player because of his versatility.

Pro Football Focus revealed the most underrated player for all 32 teams, and Hill made the list for the Ravens.

Derrick Henry is at the forefront of the conversation around the Ravens’ backfield as one of the top names at his position in the league. However, Hill is the unsung hero of the unit, playing primarily on passing downs to provide Henry a breather so he can dominate on early downs. Hill earned a top-five PFF receiving grade (89.0) in 2024, bringing in 48 of 52 targets for 403 yards and four receiving touchdowns.

Hill will enter the final year of his deal as one of the top backup running backs in the NFL. Hill finished the 2024 regular season with 47 carries for 228 yards and a touchdown while adding 42 catches for 383 yards and three touchdowns on 51 targets.

The veteran was a valuable second option. His 42 receptions ranked 15th among running backs, and his 383 receiving yards ranked 11th at his position.

Hill will be a free agent in 2026 and could be in line for another, more lucrative contract extension.
