Pittsburgh Steelers star wide receiver DK Metcalf stayed overnight in a Baltimore hotel and did not travel with the team back to Pittsburgh after experiencing stomach pains after they boarded their flight.
After experiencing those pains, the Steelers team sent Metcalf to a local hospital to get checked and make sure everything was okay. Luckily for him, nothing serious popped up and he stayed in a hotel overnight, and is on his way back to Pittsburgh this morning.
It is unknown just what the injury Metcalf suffered is and how serious it is, but he could potentially miss the team’s game against the Miami Dolphins. If he does not suit up, the Steelers will turn to their refurbished room with Adam Thielen and Marquez Valdes-Scantling to help out.
Metcalf is coming off the biggest game of his Steelers tenure, with 148 receiving yards and even a gunner rep to his name in a huge win over the Ravens to give the Steelers the lead in the AFC North.
The Steelers now stand at 7-6 and in the driver’s seat to make the playoffs after the 27-22, Metcalf’s exceptional day was a huge part of the effort that powered them to get there.
