Josh Allen and Christian Benford draw praise from coaching staff
Buffalo’s thrilling 39-34 win over Cincinnati included superstar performances from quarterback Josh Allen and CB Christian Benford.
In the second half, Allen completed 13 of 15 (87%) passes for 155 yards and two touchdowns. He added 79 rushing yards and a touchdown as well, helping the Bills comeback from two separate double-digit deficits, including down 28-18 with under eight minutes remaining.
“He’s just got this ‘it’ factor that is hard to question and hard to defend. So it’s just a special quality that not a lot of people have, not a lot of players, not a lot of performers have,” head coach Sean McDermott said.
OC Joe Brady praised Allen and the entire offensive operation for bearing down and sticking together throughout the game.
“When you have Josh Allen at quarterback, as long as there’s time on the clock, you’re going to be able to score points. The game’s not over,” Brady said.
