Florida State true freshman offensive lineman Mario Nash Jr. is departing the program via the NCAA Transfer Portal after just one season in Tallahassee, he told Noles247. Hayes Fawcett of On3 Sports first put out word of Nash’s decision to transfer out.
The 6-foot-4, 285-pound lineman from De Kalb, Miss. made no appearances while earning a redshirt this past season. He was a four-star prospect.
He chose FSU over offers from Clemson, LSU, Ole Miss, and others. He flipped to FSU from Mississippi State.
He will have four years of eligibility remaining at his next stop.
The NCAA Transfer Portal window is January 2nd to January 16th for players to officially enter from the Division I ranks. Unlike past instances, there is just one transfer portal window in 2026.
