PITTSBURGH — Three Pittsburgh Steelers remain in the NFL concussion protocol and are questionable to play in the team’s Week 15 game against the Miami Dolphins on Monday night football.

Offensive lineman Andrus Peat, linebacker Malik Harrison and tight end Darnell Washington are all still in the concussion protocol and are questionable to play this week.

Harrison suffered his injury while tackling Derrick Henry against the Ravens and was replaced by veteran former starter Cole Holcomb.

Pat Freiermuth and Jonnu Smith stepped up into bigger roles with Washington sidelined, though head coach Mike Tomlin admitted on Tuesday that the Steelers couldn’t do all the same things with those guys in the game as they could with their 311-pound behemoth.

“They have weight classes in combat sports for a reason,” he said.

At tackle, Dylan Cook stepped in for Peat, who was already filling in for Broderick Jones. Fellow backup Calvin Anderson, who missed last week’s game with a knee injury, has already been ruled out against the Dolphins, meaning that if Peat can’t go, Cook will make his first career start.
