*PREDICTION*
The Pittsburgh Steelers were victorious this weekend over their AFC North rivals, the Baltimore Ravens, 27-22. The Steelers have taken over sole control of the AFC North, and with the Bengals losing to the Buffalo Bills, the Steelers now hold their fate in their own hands.
The season was looking bleak for the Steelers as they entered the game tied for first in the division with a 6-6 record. The fan base and media have been loud about their displeasure with Mike Tomlin as their head coach moving forward for a couple of seasons.
Many fans were ready for the team to move on from the longest tenured coach in the NFL. Once hired in 2007, he found quick success with the Steelers and won a Super Bowl in 2009 over the Arizona Cardinals. They’d make it back in 2011; however, they lost to the Green Bay Packers.
Since then, Tomlin has not had a losing season while simultaneously not having much playoff success. If the Steelers do not make the playoffs this season, Tomlin should be shown the door, and the perfect place for him to take the helm would be the Tennessee Titans.

Mike Tomlin To Become Titans HC
If the Steelers ended the year by not winning the AFC North or making the playoffs, it’s still unclear if the team would actually fire Tomlin this offseason.
Tomlin has been the man in charge of the Steelers for 19 seasons now.  However, the message seems to be getting old in Pittsburgh. If this is Aaron Rodgers’ final year playing in the NFL, it may just be a perfect time to move on from Tomlin.
It may also be an even more perfect time for Tomlin to move on from the Steelers.
The Tennessee Titans made a massive mistake in firing Mike Vrabel after the success he had with the team for six seasons. An even bigger mistake may have been hiring Brian Callahan to succeed him, only to fire him before he completed his second season.
Vrabel was hired by the New England Patriots and has elevated them into a legitimate contender. The Patriots currently have an 11-2 record and are tied with the Denver Broncos for the No. 1 seed in the AFC. The Titans need to find another Vrabel-type coach who can change the culture around and create consistent winning seasons. That is Mike Tomlin.
Rookie quarterback Cam Ward needs to be mentored by someone who has been around the game for a while and can foster a culture where he can thrive. Mike Tomlin has a great track record of drafting valuable defensive talent that the Titans desperately need.
Other Potential Candidates
The Tennessee Titans will not be the top coaching opening in the league this offseason. The New York Giants would be in on Tomlin as well if he were to be available.
Some other candidates the Titans could look at are Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Joe Brady, Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak, and Los Angeles Rams defensive coordinator Chris Shula.
There are a lot of options out there in top-tier coordinators who have failed as a head coach in their first go-around who deserve another shot. There are also a ton of new and up-and-coming coaches.
The question becomes, do the Titans want to take a chance on another Brian Callahan and hope it works out this time? The Titans should look for someone who has had success as a head coach before, as stability is really what they need most. Mike Tomlin may be the most stable coach of all time.
