The fantasy football regular season is now behind us, with NFL Week 15 signalling the start of the playoffs in many fantasy leagues.
Now, it’s win or go home, so it’s up to every manager to put their best foot forward. That includes adding the right players off the waiver wire and dropping ones that you don’t see providing value to your team’s championship hopes.
That decision isn’t always obvious, even after 14 weeks worth of games to base your decision off of.
Here, we highlight five players that are worth dropping from your team ahead of the fantasy football playoffs.

Mooney has been a big disappointment after many fantasy managers counted on him to deliver with Falcons top target Drake London out injured. In his last two games, he has three catches for 31 yards.
Atlanta offensive players outside of London or Bijan Robinson have been borderline unownable in fantasy this year, including Mooney, who can be dropped ahead of the playoff run.
Alvin Kamara, RB, New Orleans Saints
Dropping a player of Kamara’s caliber never seems like a good idea, but with the veteran rusher uncertain for Week 15 and beyond with knee and ankle injuries, it is worth parting ways to make room for players who will actually take the field.
Add in the fact that New Orleans is out of the playoff hunt and Kamara would only be risking further injury by returning in the final weeks of the season, and it seems unlikely he will have any impact during the fantasy playoffs.

Pierce is a talented wide receiver that several teams will be after in free agency this offseason, but his upside in the fantasy playoffs took a massive hit when Colts quarterback Daniel Jones went down with a season-ending Achilles tear.
Now, with either rookie Riley Leonard or 44-year-old Philip Rivers stepping in at QB, Pierce’s production will likely take a dive in the coming weeks.
Romeo Doubs, WR, Green Bay Packers
The days of Doubs as Jordan Love’s WR1 are over, with Christian Watson firmly taking that mantle since returning from injury in Week 8.

While Watson has excelled, Doubs has fallen off in a major way, scoring single-digit PPR fantasy points in four of his last five games. With Jayden Reed back in the picture, too, Doubs’ fantasy ceiling is even lower.
David Njoku, TE, Cleveland Browns
Njoku injured his knee in Week 14 against the Titans on a play in which he hauled in a touchdown pass from rookie QB Shedeur Sanders.
The veteran’s status for next week and beyond is unknown as of Tuesday afternoon, and with rookie TE Harold Fannin Jr. on the rise, it’s not worth rostering Njoku through the playoffs as he isn’t worth a start.
