The Los Angeles Rams made two small moves on Tuesday: The team waived outside linebacker Nick Hampton and cut tight end Nick Muse from the practice squad.
Hampton, 25, played 36 games for the Rams after being selected by L.A. in the fifth round of the 2023 draft out of Appalachian St. He mostly played special teams with 510 snaps and only 188 total snaps on defense. Hampton totaled 17 career combined tackles, including 10 combined tackles in his 12 games this season.
Muse, 27, joined the Rams practice squad in the middle of November. He wasn’t promoted to the active roster over the past month and hasn’t played a regular-season snap since 2024.
It’s unclear if either move signals a corresponding transaction for the Rams, but the team has yet to activate receiver Tutu Atwell off injured reserve despite opening up his 21-day practice window before Week 13.
