NFL Overreactions: Daniel Jones tears Achilles, Texans beat Chiefs

USA TODAY Sports’ Prince Grimes ‘overreacts’ to some of the best games from Sunday’s Week 14 slate.

The New York Jets (3-10) are on the road Sunday as they face the Jacksonville Jaguars (9-4).

The Jets are trying to put their Week 14 result in the rearview mirror, a 34-10 loss to the Miami Dolphins, who led wire-to-wire and scored a touchdown on their opening three drives of the game to take a commanding 21-0 lead late in the first quarter.

Jets coach Aaron Glenn has yet to announce who will be the starting quarterback in Jacksonville after Tyrod Taylor left and didn’t return with a groin injury in Week 14, and QB Justin Fields was listed as inactive with knee soreness. This could lead to undrafted rookie QB Brady Cook making his first career NFL start.

It’ll be a tall task for the Jets, who face a Jaguars team that’s on a four-game winning streak and has won five of six since their bye in Week 8.

Jets vs. Jaguars Week 15 prediction

Jaguars 30, Jets 10: It’s uncertain who will be under center for the Jets on Sunday, but it won’t matter. The Jaguars are an eye-popping 12-point favorite for a reason, playing their best football of the season and are at home against a Jets run defense that just surrendered an outrageous 239 rushing yards and three touchdowns to Dolphins running backs at home.

This one will likely get out of hand quickly as the Jets struggle mightily again and the Jaguars continue to put together one of their best seasons in recent memory.
