LOVES PARK, Ill. (WTVO/WQRF) — The Rockford Park District and the Chicago Bears delivered again for Rockford area youngsters Saturday. The Park District held its annual Rockford Football Training Camp at the Indoor Sports Center.
Boys and girls ages 5-14 participated in a clinic learning the fundamentals of football from area high school football coaches and high school football players.
The kids got a special treat when Chicago Bears’ running back Roschon Johnson was introduced. Johnson roamed around the massive facility going from station to station interacting with the kids.
Johnson also spent a few minutes with our Drew Collins discussing his love for football as a youngster. Johnson also shared the excitement in Chicago over the addition of Ben Johnson and a new coaching staff. To view this story, watch the media player above.
