The Chicago Bears saw their five-game winning streak snapped at Lambeau Field last Sunday, as they fell back behind the Green Bay Packers in the quest for the NFC North division title.

Bears wide receiver Rome Odunze did not play in the game due to a foot injury, and he was sorely missed. Now, with the Cleveland Browns on tap for Week 15, another Chicago receiver is on the injury report.

Olamide Zaccheaus — who caught a touchdown pass against the Packers — is now dealing with a hamstring issue and was limited in practice on Wednesday, via Sean Hammond of The Chicago Tribune.

Zaccheaus is not exactly Odunze or D.J. Moore in terms of importance to the Bears’ aerial attack, and in fact, he was recently demoted to the fourth slot on the wide receiver depth chart behind rookie Luther Burden III.

However, there is no doubting that Zaccheaus has strong chemistry with Caleb Williams and has logged 37 catches for 280 yards and a couple of scores on the year.

Caleb Williams, Ben Johnson, Chicago Bears

The Bears signed Zaccheaus in free agency following his strong campaign with the Washington Commanders in 2024, when he snared 45 balls for 506 yards while reaching the end zone three times. He has also spent time with the Atlanta Falcons and Philadelphia Eagles and has always been a decent auxiliary option.

With Odunze’s status still up in the air for this week, another injury to the Bears’ receiving corps is obviously not what the doctor ordered, even if Zaccheaus is only the team’s No. 4 receiver.

Williams struggled against Green Bay last weekend and has been very inconsistent throughout the year, so he needs as much help as he can get. That’s especially with Chicago certainly not having a playoff spot locked up just yet.

After facing the Browns, the Bears will have another matchup with the Packers at home. They will then head out west to battle the San Francisco 49ers before hosting the Detroit Lions in their regular-season finale.

Chicago is 9-4 on the campaign.
