Wednesday’s Injury Report
The Seahawks had only one player, rookie tight end Elijah Arroyo, miss practice to start the week as they prepare to host the Indianapolis Colts. Arroyo, who left last weekend’s win in Atlanta with a knee injury, is in jeopardy of missing this weekend’s game, said Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald.
But other than Arroyo, the Seahawks had every player on the roster on the practice field on Wednesday, as well as two players returning to practice this week from injured reserve, center Jalen Sundell (knee) and tight end Eric Saubert (calf), both of whom were listed as limited participants.
Two other players who returned to practice prior to this week, but who have not yet been added to the roster, rookie defensive end Rylie Mills (knee) and receiver Dareke Young (quadricep) were full participants.
The only other players limited due to injuries were safety Julian Love (hamstring), safety Ty Okada (oblique/shoulder) and defensive tackle Jarran Reed (wrist/thumb).
For the Colts, rookie quarterback Riley Leonard, who replaced an injured Daniel Jones last week, was listed as a full participant with a knee injury. Leonard could be in line to make his first career start with Jones going on injured reserve this week, but the Colts did sign Philip Rivers to their practice squad this week, bringing the 44-year-old former Pro-Bowler out of retirement as another option.
Starting cornerback Sauce Gardner, a midseason trade acquisition for the Colts, was a non-participant due to the calf injury that kept him out of last week’s game. Defensive tackle DeForest Buckner, who has been on injured reserve with a neck injury, returned to practice this week and was listed as limited.
