INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Colts continued their support of the United Way of Central Indiana with a donation following a recent home game.
The Colts donated $56,636 to the organization, or $1 for each ticket sold to the team’s Nov. 30 game against the Houston Texans at Lucas Oil Stadium. The team has partnered with the United Way for years, the organization said in a release announcing the donation.
“We are very grateful to the Colts for their generosity,” said Penny Keller, United Way’s chief development officer. “It is because of partnerships like this one that we are able to help our neighbors most in need.”
The Colts joined the Indiana Pacers during the COVID-19 pandemic with money to help keep community centers open and serving clients in Indianapolis. In the past two years, the Colts sponsored the United Way’s “Go All IN Day,” which promotes volunteerism in central Indiana.
Colts owner and chief brand officer, Kalen Jackson, is a member of the United Way of Central Indiana’s Board of Directors.
“United Way of Central Indiana does such powerful, life-changing work across our community every single day, and the Colts are honored to help them continue making a difference in the lives of so many of our friends, fans and neighbors,” Jackson said in a release.
