This continues to be a promising week for the Seattle Seahawks’ injury report.
What to expect if Colts start Philip Rivers at QB vs. Seahawks
The Hawks already were in great shape when they began the week of practice Wednesday, and Thursday came with more good news. At the top of that list is the status of Jalen Sundell, who was Seattle’s starting center this year before he landed on injured reserve with a knee injury after Week 10.
Sundell was a full participant in Thursday’s practice after being limited Wednesday in his first practice back from IR. He was designated to return from IR on Wednesday, starting a 21-day window where he is allowed to practice. The Seahawks must activate him before the end of that window or Sundell will have to remain on IR for the rest of the season.
The Seahawks may have tipped their hand Thursday that Sundell is in line to be activated before Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts when they waived two players to clear up space on the 53-man active roster that could be filled by multiple players who have been designated to return.

There’s no guarantee that Sundell will return to the starting center position upon his activation, though. Olu Oluwatimi has filled the spot in Sundell’s absence, and coach Mike Macdonald said “we’ll see” on Monday when asked if Sundell would play center or guard going forward.
Sundell, 26, is a second-year undrafted lineman out of North Dakota State, where he was college teammates with Seahawks rookie left guard standout Grey Zabel.
Seattle had one addition to Thursday’s injury report who was not listed on Wednesday’s: linebacker Tyrice Knight, who has a calf injury but was a full participant Thursday.
Rookie tight end Elijah Arroyo (knee) did not participate in practice for a second straight day, and safety Julian Love (hamstring) and tight end Eric Saubert (calf) were both limited again Thursday.
