The New York Giants made a small tweak to their 53-man roster late on Thursday, claiming wide receiver Ryan Miller off of waivers from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The 25-year-old Miller signed with the Bucs as a rookie free agent out of Furman following the 2023 NFL draft and split time between their active roster and practice squad until being waived on Wednesday.

In 25 career games (six starts), the 6-foot-2, 221-pound Miller has hauled in 14 receptions for 162 yards and two touchdowns. He also plays a pivotal special teams role, having recorded 14 tackles (11 solo) throughout his career.

A converted tight end, Miller is unlikely to step into any meaningful offensive role for the Giants, but will likely see time on special teams, where the Giants have struggled in recent weeks.

If Miller is to take the field on offense, it will come at the expense of Jalin Hyatt, who has taken just 167 snaps this year.
