Arizona spent the No. 1 overall pick on Kyler Murray in the 2019 NFL Draft. Murray has shown promise in some areas, but his inability to stay healthy has him on injured reserve. Jacoby Brissett, a journeyman, has played the last 10 games — filling in for Murray. A former third-round selection, Brissett is a Florida native who has spent time with the New England Patriots (twice), Indianapolis Colts, Miami Dolphins, Cleveland Browns, and Washington Commanders. He was Tom Brady’s backup on New England’s Super Bowl team in 2016, yet Brissett has been a great team leader with Murray out.
The former University of Florida and North Carolina State signal-caller has 15 touchdown passes — the most he’s had since 2019 (18) with the Colts. Brissett, 33, signed a two-year, $12.5 million deal with the Cardinals on March 14.

He has another year left on his deal, but has Brissett done enough to capture the attention of a different team to become a starting quarterback again? Brissett had seven games with 2+ touchdown passes in relieving Murray.
