Prairie View’s Diego Alfaro and South Carolina State’s Nico Cavanillas Alti both put points on the board during each team’s first offensive possession of overtime. The game is tied again, 38-38.
Alfaro made a 36-yard field goal, while Alti nailed a 40-yarder.

What a throw! What a catch! What a run! Prairie View A&M is back in front after quarterback Cameron Peters stood tall in the pocket, hitting wide receiver Cameron Bonner on a sail route. Bonner tiptoed up the sideline for the 78-yard touchdown.
Peters now has completed 22 of 31 passes (71 percent) for 401 yards and four touchdowns while accounting for another score on the ground.

After a three-and-out, South Carolina State found the end zone yet again as wide receiver Jordan Smith scored on a 19-yard touchdown reception. The Bulldogs have scored 21-unanswered-points to open the second half! It’s Jordan Smith’s second of the half.

South Carolina State is right back in this one after another scoring drive. Wide receiver Jordan Smith scored on a 10-yard rushing touchdown.
The score was set up by great field position after a punt return and a big 38-yard completion from quarterback Ryan Stubblefield to wide receiver Nigel Johnson.

Two plays have South Carolina Stte right back in the game early in the second half. First, the Bulldog defense stepped up, forcing a fumble on an attempted reverse from Prairie View A&M. South Carolina State defensive lineman Jordan Dollard recovered and returned the ball to the Prairie View A&M 5-yard line. From there it took just one play for the Bulldogs to find the first time of the day as Tyler Smith found pay dirt.

Prairie View A&M dominated South Carolina State in the first half of the 2025 Celebration Bowl. The Panthers lead 21-0 after an amazing first half from quarterback Cameron Peters.
Peters completed 65 percent of his passes for 237 yards and two touchdowns, rushing for 34 yards and a touchdown and catching a 24-yard pass. Peters hasn’t done it alone, though, the Prairie View A&M defense has had a day, too.
The Panthers limited South Carolina State to just 19 rushing yards and only 61 passing yards in the first two quarters. PVAMU forced five punts and made three sacks as the South Carolina State offense never got past the Prairie View A&M 49-yard line.

After starting inside its own five-yard line, Prairie View A&M drove the ball for its third touchdown of the game. Cameron Peters scored his third touchdown of the game with a back-shoulder fade to wide receiver Jyzaiah Rockwell.

Outside of a stall and missed field goal on the first drive of the game, Prairie View A&M’s offense has moved the ball at will. It’s the second-straight touchdown drive that the Panthers have scored after starting inside their own 20. Cam Peters had gone 13-20 (65%) passing for 237 yards and two touchdowns in the first half.
