Harrison Bryant is back for the Houston Texans.

The Texans are activating veteran tight end Harrison Bryant, according to the team’s transaction list. Bryant, a former John Mackey Award winner, returned to practice after missing over a month with a neck and shoulder injury.

As a corresponding move, the Texans waived running back Cody Schrader. Schrader, a former All-SEC running back for Missouri, was claimed off waivers this week from Kansas City and practiced the past three days with the Texans as a third-man option behind Woody Marks and Dare Ogunbowale.

Houston also elevated running back Jawhar Jordan and safety K’Von Wallace from the practice squad for Sunday’s contest against the Arizona Cardinals.

Acquired in a trade from the Philadelphia Eagles ahead of the regular season, Bryant has two catches for seven yards in eight games. Prior to his arrival in Houston, the veteran pass-catcher totaled 100 career receptions for 884 yards and 10 touchdowns between stops with the Cleveland Browns and Las Vegas Raiders.

Kickoff for Sunday is scheduled for Noon CT. The game will be televised on FOX.
