Saubert brings a veteran presence and depth to Seattle’s tight end group. He was a fifth-round pick in 2017 and began his career with the Falcons, and spent time with Chicago, Jacksonville, Denver, Dallas, Houston and San Francisco.
After Saubert was designated to return to practice this week, Cooper Kupp said, “Saub (Eric Saubert) is the man. Got some great vibery about him, the confidence that he brings. Just picking up guys around him. He’s awesome. He’s an awesome player for us, and as it’s been documented, he is probably the funniest guy on the team. I would second that. And, he’s just great. Everyone here loves him. What he does for the guys around him, communicating and doing things to help the guys around him, making sure you’re taking care of your pocket of the offense, he embodies that. It’s going to be great to have him back.”
Before being placed on injured Saubert appeared in seven games for the Seahawks.
