The Los Angeles Rams will host the Detroit Lions on Sunday at SoFi Stadium for a Week 15 NFC showdown that could have some serious consequences.
Los Angeles got back in the win column last week, dominating the Arizona Cardinals, which put them into the top spot in the conference with four games left. While that’s great news, they could lose first place in the conference and division if they lose on Sunday.
While this game will definitely matter for Rams fans who want to see their team clinch a playoff berth with a win, fantasy owners will also be glued to this one, as Los Angeles has several fantasy players who are in the conversation for starting lineups around the start of the fantasy postseason.
Here’s what you should do with some of the Rams’ best this week:
QB Matthew Stafford: Start
Through 14 weeks, Stafford is the fifth-highest-scoring quarterback in fantasy football, averaging 19.9 points per game. Detroit has allowed the sixth-most points per game to opposing quarterbacks, meaning Stafford should be in line for another good week.
RB Kyren Williams: Start
Williams has scored the ninth-most points of any running back this year, averaging 15.6 per game. While the Lions have been great against the run, holding running backs to the fourth-fewest points, Williams should produce as at least a RB2 this week.
WR Puka Nacua: Start
Only Jaxson Smith-Njigba has more fantasy points than Puka Nacua this year. Nacua is an automatic start every week as long as he’s healthy.
WR Davante Adams: Start
Adams failed to find the end zone last week for the first time since Week 7. He’s questionable with a hamstring injury for Sunday, but he’s expected to play. He’s too much of a red-zone threat to sit if he’s playing.
D/ST: Sit
While Los Angeles’ defense has been really good this year, Detroit’s offense has the potential to explode on every play. They’ve allowed opposing defenses to score the fewest fantasy points per game (3.31) this year, so fantasy owners may want to consider streaming another defense if they can.
