Joshua Eaton has declared for the NFL Draft, per his Instagram. Much like Dontavius Nash, don’t believe there was any chance for more eligibility for the senior.

That said, he’s officially declaring him eligible for the NFL Draft. pic.twitter.com/odsUjjfIym

Michigan State football is undergoing massive roster turnover under new head coach Pat Fitzgerald, and many current Spartans are making future plans, whether or not that includes the transfer portal, staying in East Lansing or the NFL Draft. Another current Spartan has announced his intention to declare for the NFL Draft.

Joshua Eaton came to Michigan State in 2025 via the transfer portal by way of Texas State and Oklahoma. In 2025, Eaton made 19 tackles with two pass defends. Per PFF, he graded as a 62.5 overall defender and a 65.0 coverage player.

While it appeared that Eaton was out of eligibility, there was a chance to apply for a waiver for one more year, but that will not be necessary. Eaton has officially declared for the 2026 NFL Draft, ending his college career.
