After a brief injury exit, Cowboys running back Javonte Williams returned in the second half of Sunday’s meeting with the Vikings.

Williams notably missed most of the first half with what was deemed a shoulder injury. He scored the game’s first touchdown, punching in a 1-yard run early in the first quarter. After his touchdown run, Williams was evaluated in the team’s medical tent before he returned to Dallas’ bench.

Jim Maurer, the Cowboys’ head athletic trainer, spoke briefly to head coach Brian Schottenheimer about Williams’ status during a timeout in the first half.

Williams made a quick impact as he took the field after the halftime break. He ran for 15 yards to start the third quarter.
