A lot of New England Patriots fans and media members learned the importance of waiting until the final whistle to share their thoughts on social media.
In the first half of Sunday’s game, it was all Patriots. Leading 21-0 and going into halftime with a 24-7 lead had a lot of people boasting that the game was over and the Buffalo Bills’ top on time of the AFC East was over.
Buffalo, of course, proved otherwise.
Winning the division will still be difficult for the Bills, but they reminded the Patriots and the world that they can defeat anyone in the league on any given Sunday. Despite trailing by 21 points, the Bills were able to outscore the Patriots 35 to 10 the rest of the way.
The Bills now sit at 10-4 with the Patriots holding an 11-3 record. Following Buffalo’s win, here’s a look at national media members who have egg on their face following Buffalo’s comeback win.
Chris Simms
In a sea of bad takes, Chris Simms stands alone.
Heading into today’s matchup, Simms stated that the Patriots were better than the Bills in every way. Apparently, Simms forgot about the NFL’s reigning MVP or a Bills offensive line that is head and shoulders better than the Patriots.
Easy things to forgot when you don’t watch all of the games.
Pat McAfee
Pat McAfee was ready to crown the Patriots in the first half. The former NFL punter turned media darling was celebrating prematurely along with Boston Connor, one of McAfee’s talking heads on the show.
Here are a few other talking heads who talked a bit too soon.
