Kansas City Chiefs center Creed Humphrey spoke with reporters during his postgame press conference, discussing his positivity amid disappointment at not qualifying for the postseason.

“Yeah, it sucks, but we have three games left,” said Humphrey, “You can take it one of two ways: you can mope around and cry about it, or you can come in ready to work and get ready for these next few weeks. I think we have the guys who are going to come in and be ready for the next three weeks.”

Due to several injuries, including Jaylon Moore exiting Sunday’s game early, the offensive line has had to make additional changes. Humphrey described what it’s like when there are so many combinations during a game.

“Yeah, I’m proud of the young guys and how they stepped up today,” said Humohrey, “They came in and played pretty well, and I’m proud of them. It stinks with the injuries and everything, but we have the right guys in the room, and I’m proud of how they stepped up and fought the entire game.”

The Chiefs started undrafted rookie Esa Pole at left tackle in Week 15 while long-time practice squad offensive lineman Chukwuebuka Godrick appeared in relief after Moore’s injury.
