You probably know it as the neon green building you see in the Dallas skyline. It’s technically the Bank of America Tower and last night, someone changed the colors to purple and yellow.

With the Dallas Cowboys losing last night, their playoff chances are not looking good. According to NFL Nextgen Stats, the Dallas Cowboys now have less than a 1% chance at making the playoffs this year. Fans in attendance of last night’s game on their way back home who lived in Dallas got another surprise.

Now many are wondering why the Bank of America Tower would honor the Vikings after a random regular season win. Turns out, you can just change the color of this building. According to a story from WFAA, in 2018 people were given the opportunity to change the color of the lights every five minutes. The website is still up, but you need a login to change the lights. Looks like a Minnesota Vikings fan got access and changed the lights until 7AM this morning, that is according to a post on Reddit.

Many are used to the building being green, but on the Fourth of July it goes red, white, and blue. Back in 2020 is a different example shown above. The building went blue to honor health care workers battling the Covid 19 pandemic that year, like many other buildings in downtown Dallas did.

Hopefully the Bank of America Tower does not become a thing opposing NFL fans use to troll Cowboys fans in Dallas.
