The Cincinnati Bengals are officially out of playoff contention with Sunday’s loss to the Ravens, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t going to stop fighting the rest of the season.

On Monday, Zac Taylor told the media that he plans to keep starting Joe Burrow for the team’s final three games. He was asked because of Burrow’s long stint on I.R., comments on his mindset last week and other facets.

While that’s an admirable stance and one you’d want from a coach supposedly on the hot seat, there is another part to the equation that emerged Monday. Burrow was seen with a “slight limp” at his Monday presser.

We knew that there could be setbacks or these types of sights with Burrow in his whirlwind return from toe surgery in September. However, with the season lost, Burrow airing out his frustrations with losing and the risk of further injuries, is it worth it for No.9 to be out there for the final three games?

Knowing the mindset of Taylor and Burrow, they’re going to grind through it until the bitter end of the 2025 season, but everyone must weigh the risks. Burrow clearly wasn’t himself on Sunday, as the Bengals were shut out at home, and has four interceptions in his last five quarters of football.

Should the Bengals and Burrow play it safe and sit him the rest of the year, or should they put their best efforts out there to attempt to close out the season in a strong way?
