MANHATTAN — Nearly 24 hours after Kansas State football coach Collin Klein extended his first offer to Arley Morrell, the in-state tight end has accepted.
Morrell announced his pledge to the Wildcats on Monday, Dec. 15, becoming the latest commit to the 2026 class.

The Pratt three-star prospect will join the Wildcats after previously committing to play at Iowa State. After Matt Campbell left for Penn State, Morrell was released from his signing.
Listed at 6-foot-6, 210 pounds, Morrell is listed as the 247Sports Composite’s No. 57 tight end in the 2026 class and the second-best available player out of Kansas. The Wildcats had yet to sign a tight end in the 2026 class, and they’re set to lose Brayden Loftin and Andrew Metzger to the transfer portal.
Morrell told Rivals earlier in the day that he had also heard from Auburn and Missouri in the lead-up to committing to Klein. Morrell added that he would be patient, hoping to hear from Penn State, but that time has apparently passed.

Morell had 36 catches for 504 yards and seven touchdowns this past season, and also had 46 carries for 206 yards.
Kansas State announced 24 signings on Dec. 3, the day the school announced the retirement of Chris Klieman. Klein was hired two days later.
The next signing period begins on Feb. 4, while the transfer portal opens on Jan. 2.
According to the 247Sports Composite team recruiting rankings, the Wildcats have the No. 50 class in the country, which ranks ninth in the Big 12.
