It’s an NFC Championship rematch. Here’s what to know.
LANDOVER, Md. — The rematch of the 2024 NFC Championship is finally here. After 15 weeks of waiting, the Washington Commanders will take on the Philadelphia Eagles at Northwest Stadium at 5 p.m. on Saturday.  It will be just one out of the Commanders’ final three games, which happen to be all NFC East opponents.Â
Tickets
Tickets are still available for the matchup this Saturday. Prices range from $104-$602 on SeatGeek. Temperatures are predicted to be in the mid-40s so dress in layers and bring blankets to keep warm. Stay on top of weather conditions ahead of Saturday with WUSA9’s weather team.
Northwest does have a clear bag policy and a list of prohibited items which can be found here.
How do I get to the stadium?
There are a few ways to get to the stadium: by car and by Metro.Â
If driving, parking passes are sold out for the season but parking in the Gray Lot is available on a first come, first served basis, and is cash only. The Gray Lot will be on the side closest to Route 50, right off of Brightseat Road. Drivers can find directions and more information here.
Don’t want the headache of sitting in traffic? Taking the Metro is an option. The Blue and Silver lines stop at Morgan Boulevard Metro Station and is roughly a mile away from the stadium or about a 20-minute walk. There are no shuttles from the station unless you need a Metro Access van which can be scheduled through WMATA.
Rideshare? The drop off locations will be in the Red Zone Lot which is closer to the side of the Prince George’s Sports & Learning complex.Â
Northwest Stadium does recommend taking the metro after the game due to high traffic and low acceptance rate by drivers. Fans can ride to a stop and take a rideshare from another location.
I’m here, what now?
Northwest Stadium, like many other stadiums, is cashless, so be sure to set up any electronic wallets before heading to the stadium. Also make sure you can access your mobile tickets.Â
What should I expect?
It’ll be a tough matchup, head coach Dan Quinn said in a press conference on Tuesday that it’ll be a very physical games between the two.Â
However, the Commanders team that played the Eagles on Jan. 26 at Lincoln Financial Field isn’t the same team. Especially at quarterback.Â
On Monday, Quinn announced that Jayden Daniels will be shut down for the remainder of the season. Quinn emphasized that it wasn’t an easy decision to make but nonetheless had to happen. Tight end, and former Philadelphia Eagle, Zach Ertz was also injured in Week 14, suffering a torn ACL. This would have been Ertz fourth time facing his former team in a Commanders jersey.Â
Marcus Mariota also wore Eagles colors at one time in his career. He was Jalen Hurts’ backup in 2023, before they sent Mariota to Washington.
The Commanders are officially out of the playoffs but that doesn’t matter to them when taking on the Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys. Both teams have not officially clinched a playoff spot, however, the Eagles just need one more win to lockdown their third seed and home field advantage. Philly also needs one more win to secure the NFC East, the first time the division would have a back-to-back champion in 20 years. The Cowboys need to win their next three to squeeze into playoffs and hope the Eagles lose out to take the NFC East.Â
And the Commanders? They plan to make the road as bumpy as possible for both teams.Â
