PELL CITY, Ala. (WBRC) – The new head coach for Pell City High School was announced at a school board meeting Tuesday night.
Jake Ganus is taking over as head coach in Pell City less than two weeks after leading Moody High School to the 5A AHSAA State Championship.
Students, parents, community members, and some of his former players from Moody were there to support him.
Pell City Schools Superintendent Dr. Justin Burns called Ganus “the best football coach in the state” who makes a difference in young men’s lives.
Coach Ganus said he had a great four years leading Moody High School, but he’s ready for the new opportunity at Pell City.
A new head coach for Moody has not been announced.
