Jacory Croskey-Merritt realizes his opportunities may be limited.
With all of the talk surrounding Washington Commanders‘ quarterback Jayden Daniels being shut down for the remaining three games of the 2025 season, Croskey-Merritt was asked what is the mindset of a player like himself, going into the final games with the team only earning a 4-10 record?
“Bill” (JCM) was a guest making his weekly appearance on the “Grant & Danny” show over on 106.7 the Fan, Tuesday. The running back told Grant and Danny, “I mean, I got three games to play and shoot, I’m in the NFL. So, whenever I get a chance to step on that field, you never know. You gotta go out and show out.”

Sounds like the rookie understands, being a seventh-round choice, he has no business feeling entitled. He knows he must prove himself in every opportunity he has been provided. Taking three weeks off? Looking to coast down the stretch of the final three games? Not a chance.
“We’re not looking at it like that. Nobody in the locker room. We got three more chances to play the game we love, and we just wanna build momentum going into the next season. So, that’s what it’s gonna do for us, and we are just gonna go out there with our brothers; we are not going to quit on each other.”
Glad to hear the young man is displaying a real competitive spirit, and not looking ahead prematurely to the offseason.
