The Carolina Panthers announced a pair of roster moves on Wednesday afternoon.
As expected, the team has opened the 21-day practice window for wideout David Moore. The veteran receiver has missed the last 10 games due to an elbow injury, one he sustained in the Week 4 loss to the New England Patriots.
Moore, who underwent surgery for the setback, was placed on injured reserve in early October.
Carolina, additionally, signed rookie running back Montrell Johnson to their practice squad—filling the vacancy left behind by Jacksonville’s poaching of DeeJay Dallas on Tuesday.
Johnson split his collegiate career between Louisiana (2021) and Florida (2022 to 2024). He was named the Sun Belt Freshman of the Year and a second-team All-Sun Belt member in 2021, where he rushed for 838 yards and 12 touchdowns for the Ragin’ Cajuns.
The 23-year-old has also been a practice-squad member for the Philadelphia Eagles and Arizona Cardinals this season.
