Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Eli Ricks has reacted to “beautiful” Ivanka Trump’s note that she left at his locker during a visit to the Super Bowl champions’ facility.

The back-and-forth began after Ricks described Trump’s daughter as “beautiful” and claimed she was his “type” after he visited the White House with the Philadelphia Eagles to mark their Super Bowl win over the three-peat-chasing Kansas City Chiefs. Mother-of-three Trump, married to Jared Kushner, responded kindly to the NFL star’s comments and returned the favor during her visit to the Eagles facility.

Trump and her son were seen posing with the team’s Super Bowl trophies, and Theo also got the chance to play on the Eagles’ football field. The First Daughter also found Ricks’ locker and took a photo of it. It was there that Trump left Ricks a heartfelt letter.

“Stopped by to say hi! Sorry to miss you! Go Birds! Ivanka,” the note read.

Ricks wasted no time responding. Taking to Instagram Stories, he wrote as a caption. “My apologies. I owe you a bottle of wine now.”

Ricks was one of many Eagles players who visited President Trump at the White House. However, the team’s superstar and Super Bowl MVP, Jalen Hurts, skipped the meeting after brutally dismissing a question days before the Eagles’ scheduled visit.

Still, the occasion was grand and President Trump had high praise for the Eagles, who thwarted the Chiefs’ legendary three-peat attempt. President Trump also gave the “tush push” the stamp of approval.

“I hope they keep that play, Coach,” Trump said to Nick Sirianni. “They’re talking about getting rid of that play, I understand. They should keep it … I like it. It’s sort of exciting and different.”

Running back Saquon Barkley also played with President Trump at his golf course in Bedminster, New Jersey. He then flew with the President to Washington on Air Force One and responded strongly to social media condemnation.

“lol some people are really upset cause I played golfed and flew to the White House with the PRESIDENT,” Barkley said on X. “Maybe I just respect the office, not a hard concept to understand. Just golfed with Obama not too long ago…and look forward to finishing my round with Trump ! Now ya get out my mentions with all this politics and have amazing day.”

“I offered him a ride on Air Force One because I was coming down and usually they say, ‘No, no, I don’t think so.’ He said, ‘I’ll take it, sir.’ And he loved it and we loved being together,” Trump said on Barkley. “He’s a great, young guy and an incredible football player.”

Trump also had some words for the New York Giants, who let Barkley leave as a free agent following the end of the 2023 season. “They lost Saquon,” he said.

“That was not good. I called that one. That was an easy one to call because he played damn well for the Giants, I can tell you that.”
